WHAT WE DO
ProChoicePins.org raises funds for reproductive rights organisations through the retail and wholesale sale of our pro-choice badges via our online store. We also provide support to organisations involved in reproductive rights and women’s issues by providing badges at below wholesale cost for fund raising opportunities or for free distribution at events. PCP is a not-for-profit organisation. Funds raised by the sale of our pins go towards administration, materials, promotional costs, and our favourite pro-choice groups.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is simple; to provide a supporting role to the reproductive choice movement and a fun means of raising funds and awareness of reproductive rights issues in Australia.
MANIFESTO
Women are capable of evaluating the all personal, ethical and moral issues involved in making a decision concerning whether to continue with a pregnancy or have an abortion. No woman should have that decision imposed upon her, depriving her of the right to choice. All women are entitled to exercise their reproductive choice with freedom from pressure to have a termination and freedom from pressure to continue with a pregnancy. In order to exercise choice, all women must have: the right to termination enshrined in law; access to non-judgmental counseling services; and access to safe, legal and affordable abortions.
WHO ARE WE?
PCP is run by two pro-choice advocates and badge makers, KJ Elizabeth and Erin Dolan. Erin has spear headed the campaign against false pregnancy counseling lines with a religious agenda via her website DoNotBeQuiet.com. KJ runs the badge vendor ButtonBrat.com and coordinates the activities of feminist zine Pretty-Ugly.
